Italian (Dialects) in Diachrony conference (IDD)

LUCL Leiden, the Italian department of the University of Leiden, and the Marie Curie Foundation are happy to announce the first Italian (Dialects) in Diachrony conference (IDD) to be held at the Leiden University Centre for Linguistics on May 19-21, 2011.

The conference aims to create a platform for discussion between scholars looking at the diachrony of Italian and Italian dialects from different points of view.

Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) on any aspect of the history of Italian or Italian dialects. The conference languages are English and Italian. Authors are asked to submit their abstracts via Easy Abstracts (http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/IDD2011). Abstracts should be anonymous and are not to exceed two pages in length (including examples and references), 12-point type. Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author. Abstracts should arrive no later than 1 March 2011. Speakers will be notified of the results of their abstract review by March 22 2011.
